Shipping
Free expedited shipping on all purchases over $250 domestically and internationally. Free ground shipping within the USA and Canada on orders over $120.
Free shipping on all items within Seattle to Tacoma.

Refund Policy 
Discounted items are final sale. Full-priced items can be returned within 10 days of delivery to the customer if they are in unused condition. However, sometimes things go awry and that's just the nature of things. If anything should go wrong with your items, just send an email to (sales@hcmc.shop) with photos of what went wrong. We will try our best to figure something out. Otherwise, customers will have to pay for a return shipping label provided by Shopify.

Order Lead Time
We can generally ship any in stock item within 1 business day. Items that are listed as out of stock, but still purchased can take up to 14 days to ship.

Each item takes about 1 week to make.
On the first day we mill the the lumber and dimension it, and then start glue ups or basic carving.
On the second day plane cutting boards and do a six step surfacing. For utensils and tools we finish carving and do the same six step surfacing.
On the third day, we oil the boards and tools. We leave them for a day to soak up as much oil as possible.
On the fourth day, we wax the boards, utensils and tools.
We have to wait a day for the wax to settle, so on the fifth day, we carefully package and ship the items.
Sometimes, depending on the humidity, sanding can take 2 days, so it could take up to 6 days to make and ship an item.

All of our products are handmade out of wood. Wood is very much a living material. Every piece is unique in its grain and structure. No two pieces look alike. And also because everything is handmade, there may be minor differences in each piece.
