Slim Rising Moon/Setting Sun Cutting Board

Our take on the D shaped serving trays and cutting boards often seen in Japanese kitchens. Continuing with our faceted design language, this board is also easy to handle, wash, and dry. It works well as either a cutting board, charcuterie board, or as a serving tray and is perfect for matcha making, gongfu cha, or cutting or chopping up dinner or a snack. Each board is hand stamped with our makers mark, and is hand finished to an ultra smooth, glass-like finish and then is oiled and waxed with food safe mineral oil and beeswax.

Because this product is handmade, there may be small, but minor differences between each product. This product is handmade of wood, which has certain characteristics depending on the species of wood. No two products will be the same, because the wood grain is unique to each piece. American black cherry may have black lines and spots throughout the wood. These are naturally occurring mineral deposits and is not a cause for concern. Likewise, eastern hard maple may also have it, but it won't occur nearly as often.
